DKI - a German based, International Association with the target to stimulate and sponsor the art of piano making. As successor to the Master Circles established by Frederik Steffes, DKI combines advanced forces to create better pianos.
DKI acknowledge the pinnacle of piano building was in the „golden 20’s“. DKI wants to cultivate and complement the traditional knowledge by operating a platform for R&D, teaching, training.
To stay on top, DKI arrange International Master Circles for ongoing research and development. A major purpose is to combine the skills and arts of the traditional with modern engineering.
DKI cooperate with all internationally recognized professionals. By working together in a spirit of curiosity, know-how will be exchanged, supplemented and expanded. We bridge different concepts, understandings and welcome all others’ ideas.
