The craft of making string instruments is a skill that is handed down from generation to generation. Even today it takes several months to make an instrument. Roughly 300 different steps are needed before a high-grade instrument is finished - each of these steps must be completed by hand and with particular care.
By taking the utmost care in selecting only superior materials, we are able to offer our customers extraordinary violins, violas, cellos and double basses. We also arrange repairs with local luthiers, who assist us closely in assuring the highest quality of our string instruments.
For these tasks, we at Mastri draw upon the century-old lutherie tradition that lives on in the Markneukirchen (Vogtland) region that we call home and also where our staff learned their craft. We look forward to your visit and are happy to provide advice on the purchase or repair of an instrument.
We also sell bows and accessories for these instruments.
