Alpentonholz Pahler is managed by the trained violin maker and forester Andreas Pahler. Together with his staff he is searching for excellent spruce in the Bavarian, Austrian and Italian Alps.
Maple is to be found in South Eastern Europe. But judging maple is a hard job - you only see grain and flame once you cut up tree into billets. This makes it even more fascinating.
